Julia Harris
Julia Harris is Senior Director of Policy for the Peterson Center on Healthcare. Prior to joining the Center, she was a Director of Health Policy at the Bipartisan Policy Center. Harris has held previous senior positions with UnitedHealthcare, TennCare (Tennessee’s Medicaid program), the Kaiser Family Foundation, and a large federally qualified health center in New Jersey. In 2017, Harris was part of a small team that took top prize in the global Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE competition to build an innovative consumer medical device. Harris completed a Master of Public Health and a Master of International Affairs at Columbia University and holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in Human Development. She is an associate member of the National Academy of Social Insurance.
